Mishimoto MQB Aluminium Radiator – EA888.3 2.0 TSI (2015-2021)
The Mishimoto Performance Aluminium Radiator is a direct replacement upgrade for the MK7 Volkswagen Golf GTI, R and TSI, along with other MQB platform vehicles running the EA888.3 2.0 TSI engine. Built to handle the heat that the factory radiator can struggle with, it offers improved cooling capacity, stronger construction and better long-term reliability for both standard and modified cars.
Why upgrade the factory radiator?
The original equipment radiator does the job for everyday driving, but it can fall behind when the engine is pushed harder, such as during spirited driving, track use or when running a tuned ECU. The stock unit also uses plastic end tanks, which become brittle over time and are a common source of cracks and coolant leaks as the car ages.
The Mishimoto radiator addresses both issues. Its full aluminium construction with TIG-welded end tanks removes the weak plastic components, while a thicker, higher-volume core provides noticeably better heat dissipation.

Built for longevity
Mishimoto engineered this radiator from the ground up with durability in mind. The precision TIG-welded core is far less prone to developing leaks over time compared to a crimped plastic-and-aluminium OEM design. The internal struts within the coolant tubes add structural rigidity, making the radiator resistant to the kind of flex that can cause premature failure.
