Description
The sale is for a set of steel BMW E46 adapters with a set of mounting screws for the factory wishbones.
The adapters are milled on CNC machines, which ensures high-quality finish and 100% fit of the adapter to the steering knuckle and pin ends.
The adapters are protected with a zinc coating.
During assembly, the steering rod and tie rod end must be shortened by 1 centimeter, the bodywork remains intact.
Depending on the wear of the knuckle and differences in castings, it is possible that the bolt that secures the adapter to the knuckle will need to be shortened. This is to ensure that it does not come into contact with the shock absorber mount.
We dimensionally match our adapters to Meyle studs. We have noticed that different manufacturers may have different manufacturing tolerances. For this reason, it may happen that the end of the stud mounting thread protrudes from the adapter and cannot be screwed in securely. In this case, a washer should be added under the nut.
The minimum inner diameter of the rim to fit the adapter is 370 mm.
Adapters widen the spacing by 2 cm per side. To obtain approximately 55 degrees of turn.
